After the stab at Sony that Canon made in the press release stating they were releasing ~ 20 cameras this year, you don't think they'd let Sony get that far ahead, do you? :p
In my opinion, one of the more intriguing product announcements from Nikon today was the Coolpix 8700. If it improves significantly from the Sony, that could be a killer product. Right now, Canon is lacking a bit in the true consumer DSLR market. But then again, PMA is right around the corner. what i mean is i am currently working full time with Company A. But I am thinking of making additional income by working for another company on part time basis. Can I file another concurrent H1? And if this concurrent H1 will be based on annual H1 quota?

That is correct.. any stay on "H" (H1, H4) or any "L" (L1, L2) will count towards 6 years.

It is better and more meaningful to do yearly predictions rather than monthly predictions. This way, we will waste less time and atleast see the dates moving by a few days.

Earlier USCIS has announced a fee hike from this month end. Ideally they should extend that fee hike till Aug 17th.

My current reporting structure with my employer is:
Client -> Prime Vendor -> Consultant X -> My employer
Another consultant is ready to transfer my visa and the reporting structure there is
Client -> Prime Vendor -> My employer
A prime vendor (not the same client) is also ready to transfer my visa
Client -> My employer
I am planning to transfer it to either (or both) of the above two companies. Will there be a problem in those two companies filing for a tranfer at (approx) the same time?
Is there a way I can ask an attorney directly (I am willing to pay for that service)

Hi
I have a question regarding my spouse who is on H4 visa.One of the company did H1b processing through "CONSULAR PROCESSING". Her H1B is approved now.
1) She is ready to work from Oct 1st as she got some project.Her employer said that they have to apply for amendment(COS) to get I94.Is this right?
2) How many weeks will it take under premium processing to get new I94
3) Do they have to apply only after Oct 1.
4) Are there any chances of getting rejected at this stage.
Can any one please suggest.

Why you take lawyer's help for this simple thing. ?
Almost everybody renewed EAD/AP by themselves.
EAD/AP filings must go to your I-485 processing center.
I think, if the lawyer send to wrong center, it will redirect to the correct center, there will be a time delay for this.
My lawyer sent my wife EAD renewal papers to VSC.
Our cases at at TSC presently. I asked him to sent it to TSC but he said since the original EAD / AP were approved by VSC the renewal has to also go to VSC.
I am not sure what is going to happen. I have not seen my cheques cashed nor have received the package back?
FedEx trackinh number says it was received at VSC on July 10.
Can anybody shed some light whats going to happen next ?????

I am a B.COM and AICWA. I have also completed CA-Inter. I have totally 12 years of experience out of which 7 years in IT and 5 years Non-IT. I am currently working as Program Manager. My Labour is approved. My company is trying to get a evaluation done.
Would there be any issues when concurrently filing for I-140 and I-1485 with regard to the Education Evaluation.

I guess we get FP for 485. Not for EAD or even AP.
You will get second (or even third or fourth...) Finger print notice(s)
until you get GC every 15 or 18 months.
They need to renew their FP database.

This is my agreement with C :-
During the term of the assignment & for a period of 1 Year following the termination of the business/employment relationship between C & cygent, cygent will not do any of the following:
1. Directly or indirectly call on, solicit, or take away (directly or through another entity) any of C's customers or potential customers cygent became aware of as a result of performing services for the above referenced assignment; or
2. Directly or indirectly offer or attempt to offer (directly or through another entity) services that were offered via C for the same projects that were performed under the agreements between C & cygent, or
3. solicit or hire away any of C's employees or contractors C became aware of as a result of performing services under agreements between cygent & C.
cygent will be held responsible for any losses suffered by C due to violation of the terms stated in this agreement. jurisdiction is County of Alameda, California.

I saw that too, but my problem is that i already had an appt for 3rd week of dec but I had an issue with my passport. Had to send papers for getting my name changed to my married name on the passport as the latest I797 i received was on my married name (noticed this only recently). Now I cannot change the name, passport etc on an existing appointment so will have to cancel the one I have. And currently only emergency appts are available for 3rd and 4th week of dec. Hence the dilemma!!!!!

I went for H1B stamping, but i know a friend of mine went for F1 (PhD) extension and had to go through the same process. I called Dept. of State multiple times, dont expect a polite response. They may even say it may take years. Thats what they told me the day before i got the visa. Dont worry your wife will get the visa eventually. Tell her to enjoy India in the mean time like i did on my forced vacation.
